Cloud Foundations Assessment · 3 weeks

Know exactly what your cloud needs next — and in what order.

A fixed-scope review of your cloud foundations — accounts, network, identity, security guardrails and cost — ending in a target architecture and a 90-day roadmap your team can execute.

Duration
3 weeks
Platforms
AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
Access
Read-only
Fee
Fixed fee, agreed before we start

Is this for you?

Built for teams whose cloud outgrew its foundations.

  • Your cloud grew project by project, and nobody can draw the whole estate on one page.
  • An audit, a security questionnaire or a big customer is about to look closely.
  • The bill keeps rising and nobody can say which team owns which cost.
  • You're about to migrate, build a platform team or adopt AI workloads — and want the foundations right first.

What you get

Six artifacts. All yours to keep.

Each one has an audience, an owner and a decision it makes easier.

01

Current-state map

Accounts or subscriptions, networking, identity, environments and ownership — documented as they really are.

02

Risk & gap register

Findings ranked by business risk, each with an owner, an effort estimate and a recommended fix.

03

Target landing-zone design

Reference architecture and decision records for structure, identity, network, guardrails and observability.

04

Cost baseline

Where the spend goes, how to allocate it to owners, and the first savings worth acting on.

05

90-day roadmap

The work sequenced into waves with dependencies, so the next quarter is planned, not debated.

06

Two readouts

An executive briefing on risk and investment, and a working session that walks your engineers through every finding.

How it runs

3 weeks, start to readout.

  1. Week 1

    Discover

Read-only access, stakeholder interviews and an automated inventory of the estate.

  2. Week 2

    Analyze

Architecture, security and cost review against your goals and obligations.

  3. Week 3

    Recommend

Target design, roadmap and both readouts. You keep everything.

Who does the work

Led by a senior cloud architect, supported by a platform and security engineer. The people you meet on the scoping call do the work.

What we need from you

  • Read-only access to your cloud accounts
  • About five hours of your team's time across the three weeks
  • One sponsor who can make decisions

What happens after

You own every artifact. Implement the roadmap yourselves, with us, or with anyone else — there is no obligation to continue.

Good questions

Before you book.

How is the fee set?

After a 30-minute scoping call we send a fixed fee based on the size of the estate. It doesn't change once agreed.

Do you need admin access?

No. Read-only access is enough, and we follow your security team's process for granting and revoking it.

We use more than one cloud. Is that a problem?

No. We cover AWS, Azure and Google Cloud, and multi-cloud estates are common. We'll agree scope on the scoping call.

What if we already have a platform team?

Good — we work alongside them. The assessment gives them an outside view and a roadmap leadership will fund.

Start here

Thirty minutes to scope it. Three weeks to know.

Tell us about your estate and what's driving the question. We'll reply with a fixed fee and a start date — or tell you honestly if you don't need us.
